Normally on any given day I am brand specific when it comes to Apple products. But a trip to the gym over a year ago made me reconsider my options for music replay. I walked away from my iPod in the LA Fitness shower and I never saw it again. It was a gift that was over 5 years old, but still, it was MY iPod. And don't like having to replace a thing. I think it should last forever.

Before I went price checking on a new player I had to really think about what was necessary for me. I absolutely have to have music so no player was not an option. And I refuse to play more than $50 bucks for something that could possibly wind up missing just like my iPod. So I decided to choose the Eclipse MP3 Player by JLabAudio.com. It cost me $14.99 at Walmart. For the most part it is straight forward to operate.

What I like about this Eclipse MP3 Player
  • I can add MP3 files from a Mac or PC
  • The controls are very simple. Not too much learning.
  • It will recharge with its own USB cable.
  • There is a preinstalled clip on the back that allows for me to easily attach it to my workout clothes.
  • The size, it is very small and portable. It almost looks like those tiny iPods.
  • And I love, love, love the 2 Preloaded Workout mixes from RockMyRun. I was ready to hit the gym right out the box.

What I DONT like about this MP3 Player but I'm cool about it
  • The volume buttons are not normal. They don't operate like normal volume buttons.
  • The screen display is very small and it gets hard to see the icons.
  • In order for the player to go to the next track, you have to press foward twice.
  • I get this format error when I press the back buttons.

But with all being said, I enjoy this lil player. I don't have to have all the updated techo toys to workout. I just need a good ole music player that plays me some good ole music.

I've been a lot of places,
    I've done so many things,
But I have yet to master,
    The art of doing me...
    This is my year
    to put all things aside
and expose to all the world,
all the beautiful treasures I've hidden inside.... MUAH!!
